HOW IT WORKS
-Earnings will be begin once you join "THE SQUAD"
-Membership runs from January-December
-Knocked Barrel/Off Pattern is a No Time
-Earnings and points are based off horse/rider combo
-We will be having 4 buckle series during the year, they will be based off points of all approved Squad Sidepot shows. Winter (Jan, Feb, Mar) Spring (April, May, June) Summer (July & Aug) Fall (Sept, Oct, Nov)

-Futurity will have 2 Divisions
1D: Fastest time 2D: 1 second off
16.123 - 1D

-Peewee will have 3 Divisions
1D: Fastest time 2D: 1 second off 3D: 5 seconds off

22.123 -3D

-Youth will have 3 Divisions
1D: Fastest time 2D: 1 second 3D: 2 seconds off

PEEWEE RULES
- Contestants 12 & Under as of January 1st
- Can enter Youth & Open as well
- Assisting is allowed only from the ground

Hometown Barrel Squad Sanctioned Shows
​
-ONLY HOMETOWN BARREL SQUAD MEMBERS will be able to run for earnings at sanctioned shows
-Contestants will have 1 minute to enter the arena once their name has been called
-Unruly people or horses may be asked to leave
​
-Sidepots will be sanctioned at other shows (not produced by Hometown Barrel Squad)
-If entering sidepots you must pre-enter before you run.
-How the sidepots will work at other shows...you will simply roll your time from the class(es) you run at sanctioned show to Squad Sidepot class.
-Winnings will be sent through electronic payment once Hometown Barrel Squad receives the results of the show.
-Checks will be VOIDED after 30 days​
Subbing
​
-Contestants may have a sub for the year per a VET Document and/or Bill of Sale
-Contestants cannot sub a horse with another horse that already has earnings with same rider
Hometown Barrel Squad Year End Awards
​
-Horsemanship Award: This award will be presented to the contestant who displays a great attitude and treats their horse with respect no matter what happens in or out of the arena.
-Sportsmanship Award: We all want to win, of course! But this award will be presented to the contestant that helps, encourages, and may even put their competitors needs before their own.
-Horse of the Year Award: This award will be presented to a horse that stands out on their own...which doesnt always mean the fastest horse. The horse who had a come back, the horse that takes care of his/her rider, or just the consistency of the horse.
